Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra is also known as the second chakra or Svadisthana Chakra. It’s located in the upper part of the sacrum, below the navel. The color associated with this chakra is orange and its element is water. This chakra deals with feelings, creativity, joy, and enthusiasm.

When this chakra is open you feel happy, creative, and wellness. When closed you can feel emotional instability, fear of change, and depression. A great way to keep this chakra open and the energy flowing is to be creative. You can do whatever it is that makes you happy in a creative way. That could be writing, cooking, drawing, painting, gardening, or whatever your creative outlet might be.

We have to remember in this world we live in to not conform to what others want us to be. This chakra is about your creativity and how it makes you feel. Make sure to take time to be kind to yourself and not so hard on yourself. The world does that for us. Take time out of your day to do something creative, no matter what it may be. Find your creative outlet, let go, and have fun.

I will be making posts about other ways to open this chakra through yoga and meditation. Remember to honor yourself, be kind, and be creative.
